Hangang Bus (Han River ferry bus): fares, piers and the August 2026 timetable
Numbers checked against the official source on 2026-10-19
A Hangang Bus ride costs ₩3,000 for an adult (₩1,800 adolescent, ₩1,100 child), one way, with no extra charge by distance; cash is not accepted. The most recent Seoul government fare statement we could read (4 November 2025) says fares stay at those levels; the city's August 2026 timetable release does not repeat the fares. The August 2026 timetable runs 10 sailings in each direction between Magok and Jamsil, with the first boat leaving Jamsil at 11:00 and the last arriving at Magok at 21:39. Seoul Forest Pier is a temporary stop that the city says runs from 8 June to 30 October 2026.
Fares
| Passenger | One way | Source date |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | ₩3,000 | 4 Nov 2025 (also 17 Sep 2025) |
| Adolescent | ₩1,800 | 4 Nov 2025 |
| Child | ₩1,100 | 4 Nov 2025 |
- Payment: cash payments are not accepted (17 September 2025 release). Public-transport transfer discounts apply as usual (4 November 2025 release).
- No distance charge: a September 2025 Seoul media-hub article by a citizen reporter says there is no extra charge by section and you may get off at any pier.
- Climate Card: the version that includes the Hangang Bus costs ₩5,000 more than the regular card and allows unlimited Hangang Bus rides. See our Climate Card page for the pass prices.
- Ages: the English release says "adolescents" and "children" without giving ages, so we do not state ages here.
- Not used: news reports from September 2026 say the city plans a higher weekend fare, but this page does not include it; check the operator before you go.

The Seoul English page also lists bus stops with walking distances for each pier and says new or adjusted city bus routes serve Magok (1 new route) and Mangwon, Apgujeong and Jamsil (2 each). For the bikes see Ttareungi fees. The route is 28.9 km according to the September 2025 release.
Timetable (as of 15 August 2026)
The city published this timetable with its 13 August 2026 release on extra evening and daytime sailings, and says Seoul Forest Pier service runs from 8 June to 30 October 2026. A dash means that sailing does not list that pier. The page labels the middle columns "Transfer" and does not explain why some Apgujeong or Oksu times are earlier than the Yeouido time in the same row, so treat the printed times as a guide and check the operator's site (hgbus.co.kr, the link the city gives) before you go.

Where the official pages differ
| Topic | Seoul release of 4 Nov 2025 | Seoul timetable of 15 Aug 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Daily service | 16 trips a day until March 2026; from March 2026, 32 trips a day from 7 AM to 10:30 PM, with express trips every 15 minutes at rush hours | 10 sailings in each direction in the printed table; first departure 11:00 (Jamsil) and 11:20 (Magok); last arrival 21:39 at Magok |
| Piers | Seven piers, Magok to Jamsil | Eight columns: Seoul Forest Pier is added from 8 June to 30 October 2026 |
The August 2026 table is the newer one and shows what is printed for that date; the earlier release describes plans. The printed 2026 service is smaller than the plan, so check the operator before relying on early or late sailings.
