Korea Post's standard-size domestic letter costs KRW 470 up to 5 g, KRW 500 up to 25 g and KRW 520 up to 50 g (prices applied from 1 July 2026). A parcel handed in at a post-office counter costs KRW 4,000 to 13,000 as a registered parcel (next-day delivery) or KRW 2,700 to 11,700 as a general parcel (delivery D+3, i.e. about three days), depending on weight and size up to 30 kg and 160 cm. Letters: price by weight
"Standard" means a standard-size envelope; anything else is "non-standard". Registered letters (등기통상) and next-day express (익일특급) are priced on the same weight steps.
| Up to (g) | Ordinary standard | Ordinary non-standard | Registered standard | Registered non-standard | Next-day express standard | Next-day express non-standard |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | 470 | 590 | 2,870 | 2,990 | 3,870 | 3,990 |
| 25 | 500 | 590 | 2,900 | 2,990 | 3,900 | 3,990 |
| 50 | 520 | 590 | 2,920 | 2,990 | 3,920 | 3,990 |
| 100 | - | 710 | - | 3,110 | - | 4,110 |
| 250 | - | 1,070 | - | 3,470 | - | 4,470 |
| 500 | - | 1,670 | - | 4,070 | - | 5,070 |
| 1,000 | - | 2,870 | - | 5,270 | - | 6,270 |
| 2,000 | - | 3,470 | - | 5,870 | - | 6,870 |
| 6,000 | - | 5,070 | - | 7,470 | - | 8,470 |
- Over 50 g a letter counts as non-standard. Korea Post's rule for ordinary non-standard mail: 590 up to 50 g, then 120 more for each further 50 g up to 1 kg, 120 more for each further 200 g from 1 to 2 kg, and 400 more for each further 1 kg from 2 to 6 kg.
- A non-standard postcard up to 50 g is charged KRW 520 (the standard-envelope price for 25 to 50 g).
- Korea Post says up to 5 g is generally one postcard issued by the post office, and 5 to 25 g generally means up to four sheets of A4 paper; paper type and envelope size can change the weight.
- Next-day express (domestic) is available up to 30 kg, with 400 added per kg above 6 kg.

Limits, extras and discounts
- Limits: a parcel can weigh at most 30 kg, with length plus width plus height up to 160 cm and no single side over 100 cm. When the weight band and the size band differ, the higher band sets the price.
- Cash-on-delivery parcel: KRW 500 per parcel extra. Insured ("안심") parcel: KRW 1,000 plus KRW 500 for each KRW 100,000 of compensation above the standard limit. Both apply to registered parcels.
- Discounts: counter parcels paid on the spot get 3% off for 1 to 2 parcels, 5% off for 3 or more, 10% for 10 or more and 15% for 50 or more, when the sender provides the address details in advance. Pickup with pre-entered details, pre-payment and a set storage place gets KRW 500 off per parcel. Splitting a 20 to 30 kg parcel into two parcels over 10 kg each cuts KRW 3,000.
